who is making this
Taras
A molecular geneticist who writes music — which turns out to be one habit, not two: take a body of material, work out its grammar, then build the instrument that plays it.
Trained in molecular genetics and transcriptomics — sequencing, gene annotation, and the biology of living systems under stress. The work here comes out of the same place: complexity that becomes coherent without becoming sterile, and the conviction that a thing can be rigorous enough to believe and still beautiful enough to enter.
Everything on this site is built and hosted end to end — no page fetches a font, a script or an image from anyone else's server. The figures are read out of the source data rather than drawn to look right, and where the evidence is thin the interface says so. That is the point, not the disclaimer.
Three instruments
- The Scenic Garden an ecology of generative subcultures — 155 scenes of scenius, 1550 → present, each with its own immersive page
- Amino Acid Techno the genome can sing — a protein played as music you can watch fold
- Phase-State Triptych one question in three states of matter — and the point where all three agree
